About me

Hi, I’m Mia. I’m a Purpose Coach and Meditation Practitioner based in Southsea. My work is centred around helping you reconnect with yourself, so you can find clarity, meaning, and a sense of purpose that feels authentic to who you truly are. I believe that when you learn to belong to yourself, you create a life that feels grounded, aligned, and deeply fulfilling.

My journey into this work began with redundancy. It was my own “one door closes, another opens” moment. Losing what I thought was a secure job with a charity I loved came as a shock, bringing up a mix of fear, grief, and uncertainty. But over time, I realised that redundancy gave me something I hadn’t had in years: space. Space to slow down, to breathe, and to ask myself the bigger questions. What do I actually want my life to look like? What matters to me, beyond expectations and routines?

That pause marked the beginning of a journey inward. I started reflecting on the choices I’d made and the patterns that had shaped my life. I noticed how creativity had always been a constant for me, whether through drawing, knitting, cooking, baking, or making skincare products. I also recognised something others had often reflected back to me: that I carry a calm, grounding presence, and that people naturally seek me out for reassurance, support, or guidance.

As I explored more deeply, I became aware of how much of my energy was directed outward. I was often focused on supporting, holding space for, and helping others, sometimes at the expense of my own needs and inner world. Over time, this left me feeling disconnected. Not from others, but from myself. I realised that while supporting others is something I deeply value, I hadn’t been living in alignment with my own wants and needs. What I truly needed was balance: the ability to care for others while still listening to myself and honouring what I need to feel grounded and whole.

Through reflection, inner work, and gentle self-inquiry, I began to shift how I related to myself. I learned to honour my strengths, listen more closely to my values, and rebuild trust in my own inner voice. This process showed me something powerful: true belonging doesn’t come from constantly giving or from external validation, it comes from knowing yourself, accepting yourself, and choosing to live in alignment with your truth.

This realisation changed everything. I saw how many people feel lost, disconnected, or unsure of their direction. Not because something is missing externally, but because they’ve lost connection with themselves. I knew that what had helped me could help others too. That’s when You Belong was born. Rooted in the belief that belonging starts within.

Today, I bring together everything I’ve learned and lived. Alongside coaching, I use meditation to support deeper self-connection on both a physical and emotional level. I place great importance on creating a safe, supportive space where you can slow down, reflect, and explore who you are beneath the noise of everyday life. My purpose is to guide you back to yourself, so you can create a life that feels intentional, meaningful, and aligned, and to remind you that you already belong, exactly as you are.
